Got a Problem. 977H recoil spring bolt N/A

Part # 5H9460 (bolt) and 5H-9459 (nut) not available from Cat. Discontinued. Shop won't make one for fear of liability. Mine is iffy at best, not a good idea to re-use it. Searched the web and all the usual suspects. No joy.
Tried finding a good used assembly. Not available. Already spent the $ for the aftermarket spring. Finding that was easy.
If anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate it. Great old machine. Hate to see this kind of problem.
