I bought a Case 450B track loader with a thrown rod, replaced engine, filters, most of the hydraulic hoses and it is running great. The problem is that the high/low range shifter is broken off below the floorboard and the end of the shaft (the flat part with the hole for the shifter to bolt to) is broken off. I have a new shifter but I want to know if there is a good way the attach it to the broken shaft so I don't have to replace the shaft? This looks like a weak point and I feel like this may be a common issue?
