My service manual and parts manual for this machine leave a lot to be desired. My 953 alternator light flashes continuously with engine running. Batteries stay charged and the alternator tested ok at a trusted shop. This problem developed 4 or 5 years ago, but now it's time to buy new batteries (old ones are over 10 years old and won't crank) and I'd like to find the cause. Manual says problem is is alternator or regulator or wiring harness which all check out. Ideas??? As an aside, there are two identical NO pressure switches on the engine: one faces to the right and one faces forward. Could one pressure switch be in line with the output of the alternator?
